ABOUT ME

MY STORY

Grammy accredited Kim Dawson is an active session singer, songwriter, performer and actor in Los Angeles. Her work is an eclectic mix of gospel, neo-soul and funk with a love-laced passion for all things jazz. Currently a backup singer for Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty), Kim has shared the stage with and sung backup for Benson Boone, John Legend, Sara Bareilles and reggae legends Steel Pulse. In 2022, she relocated to the Los Angeles area after spending over a decade touring internationally with several funk bands and a cappella ensembles. Dawson has graced the stage in Sondheim's A Little Night Music (Pasadena Playhouse), Smokey Joe's Cafe (Little Theater of the Rockies) and The Color Purple (The Aurora Fox Theater) and is looking forward to being in her next theater production. Whatever your project, Kim Dawson has the spark you need to bring your vision to life.
